On July 6 at the Teatro dell’Opera in Florence (Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino) the Jazz Campus Orchestra of the Fondazione Musica per Roma and the Orchestra dei Ragazzi (OdR) of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole will come together to perform “The New Jungle Book,” a work created by Massimo Nunzi and by the French writer Yann Apperry. The entire orchestra will be conducted by Maestro Antonino Siringo, with reciting voice by Maestro Edoardo Rosadini. “The New Jungle Book” is a contemporary reinterpretation of R. Kipling ‘s work and will be performed live by an orchestra of more than 100 elements, deploying for the first time together the Classical and Jazz music schools of two of Italy’s leading institutions. The concert is performed by an orchestra composed of female musicians from nine years old to 18 years old.
