Home Productions What It Is. Electric Miles’ Directions ’68-’86
Orchestral reworking of Miles Davis’ most significant songs from the electric period (1968 – 1986). The record “What It Is. Electric Miles’ Directions ’68-’86,” released by Parco della Musica Records, repurposes the energy of that music with the power of a big band and pays homage to the sound of an unrepeatable season, dense with utopian moods and disruptive impulses. The project features the participation of the prodigious guitarist Mike Stern, a key player with Miles in that musical revolution, joined by the very talented percussionist Kim Thompson.
