“Viaggio in Italia” tells the story of Italy through the music that has always represented it in the world. Gigi De Rienzo, Carlo Fimiani, Vittorio Riva and Marco Zurzolo, embark on a sort of journey to the boundaries of jazz music, without any reverential fear and with absolute lightness, revisiting some of the most beautiful arias from the opera repertoire, popular songs and classics of Italian pop music. In fact, on the disc one can find famous Verdi arias such as “Sempre libera” to “Amami Alfredo,” medleys of Ennio Morricone ‘s soundtracks, and even compositions by Puccini, Donizetti, De Simone, Mogol and many others.
