Parco della Musica Records continues to offer original projects by the most talented international musicians. This time he presents a quartet of jazz music aficionados, who gathered in the recording room of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone to bring to life a unique session of improvised music and interpretations of original pieces and standards. The Italian-French-American quartet formed by Pietro Tonolo, Flavio Boltro, Emmanuel Bex, and Joe Chambers combines different sounds and musical backgrounds and to give birth to “The Translators,” a propulsive and powerful record that came out of the heads and bodies of four musicians speaking three different languages. Not only are the idioms, sayings and doings of Italy, France and the United States translated in this record: ideas, thoughts and memories are grounded in a recording session that is as alive as a performance.
