The wonderful, intricate melodies that Harrell builds and the color of his dark, warm sound have gotten him elected as the best trumpeter of his generation.
In the record Tom Harrell provides his creative vein to perform original songs composed by guitarist Fabio Zeppetella (“Across The City,” “Six in Six,” “Walking on The Beach,” “Little Girl”) and by saxophonist Maurizio Giammarco (“Remembering Mingus at Music Inn”), a standard (“Autumn in New York”) and two songs of his own composition (“The Sun,” “The Moon, and You,” “Fountain”). Along with them an exceptional rhythm section: Dario Deidda on bass and Fabrizio Sferra on drums.
