Home Productions Quiet Journey
Parco della Musica Records presents “Quiet Journey,” an acoustic project in which guitarist Antonio Jasevoli performs music written and arranged for a chamber-like ensemble with Paolo Damiani, Fulvio Maras and Gianluigi Trovesi. The project, which can hardly be confined to the concept of contemporary jazz music, focuses on the classical guitar and its universal timbre to which is linked a boundless world of colors and feelings. “With the classical guitar you can play anything; it has the great quality of having no particular coloration, as opposed to the electric and acoustic guitars, which have a more specific voice,” confides Antonio.
In the ethno-classical sphere, this alchemy of the four finds suitable soil on which to germinate, and the concept of the ritual, the spiritual, and the folkloric that are evoked in the notes and plots develop wonderfully. Original compositions and arrangements-with areas of structured improvisations and totally free shadows-enliven the experience strongly based on the search for the most essential sound possible, to highlight the recondite nature of this. The great maturity of the leader is once again justified by the choice of traveling companions, all of whom are outstanding soloists, known to be leaders in their respective instruments.
