Franco D’Andrea ‘s is a music that is always renewed, in every concert, and here it finds its most novel and contemporary expression. Thanks in part to the trio’s perfect chemistry, the sound combinations span a wide range of references, from early pioneer classical jazz to Africa, embracing 20th-century music. Everything, even in the most abstract episodes, takes place in an unprecedented perspective, in the sign of lightness.
With over 160 records recorded in Italy and abroad and twenty Top Jazz awards won in his career, including 11 in the Italian Musician of the Year category, Franco D’Andrea is now considered one of the best contemporary pianists and represents the excellence that Italian jazz music has been able to give birth to in the last fifty years.
