Home Productions Intertwined Roots
PDM Records releases “Intertwined Roots,” recorded at Artesuono in Stefano Amerio, the album of NRG Bridges, the trio born from the collaboration between Gianluigi Trovesi and NovoTono, the duo of brothers Adalberto and Andrea Ferrari: three artists, three generations, common instruments the clarinet and for sax to animate an interplay as dense as it is deep.
“Intertwined Roots” is a true narrative, with an almost cinematic slant, upon listening to which the listener is invited to trace the path of an entirely personal story, leaving free space for suggestions and images, guided by the energy-rich sounds contained within this collection. And so it is that the titles arise from a desire to represent real story titles, which, as in a storybook, help one travel with one’s imagination.
Intertwined roots is the exact concept that can express the work of the NRG Bridgestrio; in fact, many are the common experiences of the three musicians, such as their classical clarinet training or their ever-evolving research work of new and different musical worlds. These common roots experienced by different generations come together to become one path, like different roots coming together to give birth to one tree, enriched in all its parts by the lifeblood of a soil rich in diversity.
