“Around Ornette” is an original project by Giovanni Falzone, released by Parco della Musica Records for the Recording Studio series, the recording sessions open to the public in the halls at Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone. The project is dedicated to the great saxophonist and composer Ornette Coleman, one of the founders in the 1960s of the free jazz movement, and is a suite of jazz music that alternates between four pieces by Coleman and four original compositions by Falzone. “Around Ornette” is a true dialogue in which Falzone ‘s expressive power and versatility of languages confronts Coleman‘s lyrical genius. Along with him are the four star performers and trusted collaborators Francesco Bearzatti, Beppe Caruso, Paolino Dalla Porta , and Zeno De Rossi.
