Home Productions 10/15
“10/15,” released by Parco della Musica Records, celebrates fifteen years of activity and ten records released by Aires Tango, one of the most original and innovative groups in recent years. In their works, jazz music liberates the tango, giving it additional improvisational freedom. This record marks the ensemble’s return to the scene after a long period of absence.
The Aires Tango were born in 1994 from an idea of Argentine saxophonist and composer Javier Girotto, who inspired by his own musical roots and merging them with the typical modes of expression of jazz and making explicit reference to the music of the great Astor Piazzolla, comes to conceive of a progressively evolving repertoire of original music, both due to the improvisational nature and the continuous turnover of musical material.
