A little more than a year after the success of the two concerts in Santa Cecilia Hall and after having pulverized tickets for the first three dates, by popular demand Ludovico Einaudi announces a fourth concert for June 20 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone for Roma Summer Fest 2023. The four dates at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone will be an opportunity to hear live “Underwater,” the first solo piano album in Einaudi’s last twenty years released in January 2022.
Recorded “when the world outside was still and silent,” the album tells the story of when the composer immersed himself “in afree and unbounded space, in a fluid and parallel dimension, without outside interference.” The result was “short forms, almost songs, written out of the blue on the piano.” Even the sound is the result of research, the artist emphasizes, “I looked for a precise sound that matched the expression of this music, soft, warm and deep. I wanted a piano that would speak and sing.”
