Ludovico Einaudi

A little more than a year after the success of the two concerts in Sala Santa Cecilia, Ludovico Einaudi returns June 20, 21, 22 and 23 to Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone for three unmissable concerts at Roma Summer Fest 2023.

Ludovico Einaudi is one of the most featured contemporary composers on the classical music charts worldwide and is the most listened to classical streaming artist of all time. One in ten streams in Britain, amounting to more than 2.5 million streams per day and 4 billion in total, comes from its compositions. His music transcends generations, and in addition to his achievements on the charts and in streaming.

The four dates at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone next summer will be an opportunity to hear "Underwater," the first solo piano album in Einaudi's last twenty years released in January 2022, live. Recorded "when the world outside was still and silent," the album tells the story of when the composer immersed himself "in a free and unbounded space, in a fluid and parallel dimension, without outside interference." The result was "short forms, almost songs, written out of the blue on the piano." Even the sound is the result of research, the artist emphasizes, "I looked for a precise sound that matched the expression of this music, soft, warm and deep. I wanted a piano that would speak and sing."

Playing with Ludovico Einaudi on piano will be Redi Hasa (cello), Federico Mecozzi (violin) and Francesco Arcuri (electronics and percussion).
