Bungaro, accompanied by Marco Pacassoni on vibraphone, xylophone and percussion, arrives Feb. 11 at Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone's Teatro Studio Borgna with the project "I wanted to fly with my feet on the ground."
Antonio Calò, aka Bungaro, is an elegant singer-songwriter and music craftsman who has been writing important pages of Italian and international singer-songwriter music for more than 30 years. In his career Bungaro has received numerous awards. These include four Critics' Awards at the Sanremo Festival, two Musicultura Awards, three Lunezia Awards and a Latin Grammy nomination with Ivan Lins. In film, he won Nastri D'Argento, Ciak D'oro and a David di Donatello nomination for the song in the film of the same name, Perfetti Sconosciuti. He has written and collaborated for international artists such as: Ivan Lins (Brazil), Youssou N'Dour (Senegal), Miùcha Buarque de Holanda (Brazil), Omar Sosa (Cuba), Paula Morelembaum (Brazil), Alejandro Sanz (Spain), Guinga (Brazil), Alireza Ghorbani (Iran), Ana Carolina (Brazil), Kay McCarthy (Ireland), Tinkara (Slovenia). He also has numerous collaborations with major figures in Italian entertainment such as Fiorella Mannoia, Ornella Vanoni, Malika Ayane, Ron, Musica nuda, Chiara Civello, Neri Marcorè, Paola Cortellesi, Rocco Papaleo, Grazia Di Michele, Ambrogio Sparagna and many others.
Marco Pacassoni has collaborated with Michel Camilo, John Patitucci, Antonio Sanchez, Alex Acuna, Horacio "el negro" Hernandez, Steve Smith, Bungaro, Malika Ayane.
