Formed in New York in 1999, the U.S.-based band has collected hits over a 20-year career, selling more than 2 million albums in the United States alone. In April 2023, the album "The First Two Pages of Frankenstein" was released, and in September of the same year, a surprise second studio album named "Laugh Track" was released, surprising audiences and critics alike. Within the latest album are thick features such as those of Phoebe Bridgers and Rosanne Cash, as well as a collaboration with Bon Iver on "Weird Goodbyes," released as an independent track in August 2022.
