A graduate in Physics from the University of Rome La Sapienza, after a doctorate at Boston University, she worked at La Sapienza as a Researcher in the Department of Physics. Since 2014, she has been Permanent Vice-Director of the Centre Européen de Calcul Atomique et Moléculaire (CECAM, www.cecam.org), a network of 17 centers spread across Europe and Israel that is involved in research, training, scientific networking and project coordination in the area of simulation and modeling. He also teaches at the Facultè de Sciences de Base of EPFL.
