A graduate in Biological Sciences, with a Ph.D. in Ecological Sciences from La Sapienza in Rome, she has been working in ISPRA since 2005, dealing with environmental characterization and monitoring studies aimed at assessing the effects induced on benthic biocoenoses by anthropogenic activities. Participates in national and international research projects, national and international regulatory implementation activities, and drafting manuals and guidelines. Conducts environmental education classes by accompanying groups on nature hikes.
