He works for GARR on defining strategies, tools, and on training and information on issues related to open science. He is a member of numerous Italian and European working groups on the subject and coordinates the Skills4EOSC project, funded by the European Commission and UK Research and Innovation to establish a network of European competence centers for open science. He holds a Ph.D. in Innovative Technologies from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna and a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Pisa.
