Elvis Costello, a brilliant, multifaceted and indefatigable artist, is one of the greatest singers and musicians at the turn of the punk and new wave eras. A child of the arts, (his father was a jazz musician and his mother sold records), he has never belonged only to rock, but has always ranged in the world of classical music and jazz as well.
