AIR

Air is a French electronic music duo born in 1995 in Versailles and composed of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel. On January 16, 1998, Air released "Moon Safari," an album that catapulted them from anonymity straight to the top rung of the electronic music ladder. Despite being two ordinary 20-year-olds with only one EP under their belt, Air has the confidence and naturalness of two seasoned professionals. Godin and Dunckel were blessed with the ability to intuit pop sounds that could bewitch pop culture: the album "Moon Safari" contains an entire universe, and while today the album's legacy is established, at the time of its release the album's multimillion-dollar success was far from assured. In 2024, a quarter of a century later, Air will perform "Moon Safari" live for the first time on their headlining tour.
